Biography
Mateo Márquez is an award-winning American-Colombian filmmaker from Queens, New York City, working across narrative film, branded content, and music videos. His short films have screened at more than 30 festivals worldwide, including the BFI London Film Festival, Fantasia, HBO NY Latino Film Festival, and Nantes Utopiales. His projects have also been featured on leading platforms such as ALTER and Film Shortage. Drawing from both genre cinema and traditional dramatic storytelling, Márquez creates visually compelling, emotionally resonant work that is intimate, visceral, and cinematic.
