Dulquer Salmaan (born July 28, 1983) is an Indian actor and producer primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema, with notable roles in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. The son of actor Mammootty, Dulquer established his career with the crime drama Second Show (2012), which earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His position in Malayalam cinema was further secured with the successful film Ustad Hotel (2012). He continued to star in prominent Malayalam films like Bangalore Days (2014), Charlie (2015), and Kammattipaadam (2016), receiving recognition for his performances, including a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Charlie Salmaan expanded his acting portfolio across multiple languages, positioning himself as a pan-Indian actor. He gained notice in Tamil cinema with films such as Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani (2015) and delivered a notable performance in Telugu cinema as Gemini Ganesan in the biographical film Mahanati (2018).
